The Agile Project Facilitator plays a crucial role in the success of the Enterprise Digitization and Smart Automation team at Scotiabank, ensuring that business strategies and initiatives are executed in alignment with governing regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing team productivity, supporting the development team, eliminating obstacles, and advancing the overall product while guiding teams in adopting compliant agile practices and hybrid methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a customer-centric culture within the team to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader organizational knowledge.
  • Collaborate across multiple robotic RPA development labs, adapting to varying levels of complexity and involvement.
  • Manage larger technology updates that impact multiple bots, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Demonstrate resilience, flexibility, and resourcefulness, with a readiness to work outside standard hours.
  • Balance competing priorities from various departments and stakeholders with a mature and diplomatic approach.
  • Guide the team in enacting agile principles and values, employing a servant leadership style.
  • Coach the development team to instill core agile values and foster an agile mindset.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, focusing on the timely removal of impediments and directing obstacles to the appropriate owners for swift resolution.
  • Build a strong partnership with the Product Owner to ensure a clear understanding of objectives and maintain an open dialogue for effective product backlog management.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including stakeholders and executives, championing the agile methodology.
  • Contribute to the organization’s agile capability by collaborating with Senior Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to share insights and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with robotics (RPA) in the Financial Services sector is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Business, Information Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7-9 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Business Administration.
  • Understanding of core banking processes and systems, with experience in the Financial Services Industry.
  • PMP and/or Scrum Master Certification (CSM) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master leading agile teams.
  • 3+ years of Project/Program Management experience with a solid grasp of agile project management principles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and practices.
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse personality types.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
