Job Summary

Paper Excellence is seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team in the timber operations department. As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as wheel loaders to unload trucks, spread logs, and load logs on bundle racks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks and spread logs in a safe and efficient manner
  • Feed mill and sort logs by paint mark
  • Load logs on bundle racks
  • Conduct pre-operating checks on equipment prior to use
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Cross-train in other areas as required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a wheel loader
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as 980, Wagner, and other log loaders
  • Knowledge of different log species and forms to store them properly
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adhere to all safety policies and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
  • Valid driver's license is highly preferred
  • Valid first aid level 3 certificate or willingness to be put through the course

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Completion of pre-employment screening processes, reference check, prior work verification
  • Ability to make it to and from work on a daily basis
