About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Robinson Contracting Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruptions.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Collaborate with other workers to achieve project goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in framing and finishing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Reliability, accuracy, and a strong work ethic.
