Job Summary
Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Care Manager to join our team at CVH 5 Mental Health. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing the unit, as well as overseeing human and fiscal resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Program Director, Medical Director, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement plans that align with the Medicine Program and organizational vision.
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Completion of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or other regulated health professional field.
- Nurse Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario or another regulated Health Professional College.
- Minimum of 2-5 years clinical frontline leadership experience in mental health.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, mentoring, and team building skills.
- Strong understanding of the application of the RHPA legislation.
- Superior analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to introduce and facilitate change, and provide leadership and support in complex situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty certification an asset.
