Project Coordinator Job Description

NorLand Limited is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team in Duncan, BC. As a key member of our project execution team, you will be responsible for coordinating, allocating, and dispatching site construction crews and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project managers and superintendents with daily office and site duties
  • Participate in morning safety meetings, weekly and monthly site inspections
  • Create AutoCAD drawings for job-specific work plans and staging diagrams
  • Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work as required
  • Support project managers and superintendents in day-to-day project administration
  • Attend meetings with clients, general contractors, and subcontractors to discuss project requirements, scheduling, and progress tracking
  • Assist in plan and spec analysis to provide clear, trackable, and coordinated interpretations of design/drawings for construction
  • Complete and submit work orders and invoices
  • Complete crew timesheets daily and assist with review and formal submission
  • Prepare and submit purchase order requests
  • Communicate regularly with foremen and superintendents
  • Update project schedules, logs, and inspection reports
  • Coordinate rental equipment returns, breaks, invoices, and billing
  • Manage contract and scope of work, identify and capture change, and assist project managers with administering change management
  • Effectively communicate project information to clients and project teams
  • Assist with site activities, including quality control for concrete pours, completing QA/QC checklists, and updating daily photo logs
  • Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissions
  • Monitor field work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codes
  • Participate in continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents
  • Assist with research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues
  • Conduct quality control activities in accordance with instructions, inspection programs, and specified control measuring and testing equipment
  • Understand and perform document control functions in accordance with on-site policy and procedures, including tracking and creating RFIs, transmitting and tracking submittals, composing agreements, and maintaining project expediting lists
  • Promote a positive safety culture with a target for zero incidents
Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in engineering or engineering technology (civil or geotechnical), or construction management with 0-3 years of construction industry experience
  • Confident communicator
  • Proficient with MS Office Software
  • AutoCAD skills preferred
  • Good work ethic and a willingness to learn

The typical salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and other criteria.
