Street Outreach Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Street Outreach Worker to join our team at The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory. As a key member of our outreach team, you will work directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, providing support, guidance, and connecting them with essential services.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare reports and case histories to track client progress and needs
- Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
- Provide suicide and crisis intervention, as well as resolve conflict situations
- Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients
- Maintain program statistics for evaluation and research purposes
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) certification
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
- First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Fast-paced environment with a focus on client support
- Work under pressure to meet client needs and deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work in a variety of settings
- Night shift premium and Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)
