Job Summary:
Cadillac Fairview is seeking a skilled Building Operator II to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building equipment, including troubleshooting and replacing parts as needed.
- Monitor and maintain central plant systems, including auxiliary and related equipment, to ensure a comfortable environment for clients.
- Inspect and test Life Safety equipment, including fire protection devices and emergency power systems, on a regular basis.
- Respond to client concerns regarding HVAC, electrical, and plumbing issues, providing solutions or recommendations as needed.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and reporting any issues or concerns to supervisor.
- Log and report maintenance activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; Building technician certificate and/or instrumentation and control certificate an asset.
- Class 3 Power Engineer License required.
- Minimum years' experience in physical plant operations, HVAC, and related equipment, preferably in an office building or mixed-use environment.
- Thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures, current technology, electrical/mechanical systems, and blueprint reading and comprehension.
- Proven mechanical abilities.
