Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in providing compliance-related tax services to our clients, working closely with Tax Managers and Partners to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead small and medium-sized client engagements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax services.
  • Manage tax compliance work for clients, including Canadian and US personal tax, tax returns, tax projections, and tax equalizations.
  • Oversee the International Assignment Program, managing all aspects of client engagements and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with Partners, Executive Directors, and Senior Managers on tax compliance work, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Review and mentor junior staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness of their work.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve client satisfaction and retention.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to deliver exceptional results for clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a public accounting firm, specializing in personal Canadian and US tax, or expertise in cross-border Canada-US payroll matters.
  • Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual French and English (required) to work and communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside of Quebec.
  • Enrollment in an accounting designation (CPA, Canada or CPA, US) is required.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with excellent client service skills and a strong understanding of clients' businesses.
  • Excellent computer skills, with experience in Excel.
