Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Tandel Group Inc.

Job Summary:

The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities. This includes sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners and performing safety and security checks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, and wax floors: Ensure all hallways, floors, and stairs are clean and well-maintained.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners: Remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from the premises.
  • Empty trash cans and waste containers: Maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings: Ensure all surfaces are clean and free of dirt and grime.
  • Perform minor repairs: Make adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
  • Contact contractors: Arrange for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform safety and security checks: Ensure the premises are secure and free from hazards.
  • Move heavy furniture and equipment: Assist with the relocation of heavy items.
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
