SRE Technical Product Owner

In the role of SRE Product Owner, you will oversee the foundation of our Channel Service Platform, focusing on the infrastructure and automation of our SaaS offerings.

This position serves as a pivotal career step towards an SRE/Cloud Architect trajectory.

You will work closely with business verticals, Enterprise Architecture, and Development/SRE teams to define the strategic implementation and automation roadmap, with the SRE team responsible for delivery, while also engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of SRE, DevOps, and infrastructure automation, along with expertise in data analytics, strategy, and agile methodologies to deliver high-quality projects that enhance our platform and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SRE stakeholders to establish a vision for infrastructure automation and a roadmap that aligns with the platform's strategic goals.
  • Produce, analyze, refine, and document stakeholder requirements and user stories for production planning.
  • Manage the backlog, plan iterations, and decompose user stories effectively.
  • Create and maintain short, medium, and long-term product roadmaps in agreement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work alongside the SRE Scrum Master and RTE to facilitate successful release planning, sprint planning sessions, and conduct sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Ensure effective communication and training strategies regarding released features.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner or in a similar role within a technology or software development environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Project Management fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of Agile processes and principles, backlog management techniques, and relevant metrics.
  • 3+ years of experience in Development design reviews, implementation pattern standards, and governance.
  • Experience with SRE/ITIL/DevOps teams, culture, and processes.
  • Solid understanding of high availability principles, system observability, and incident management.
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries on both local and global scales.

Additionally, a solid understanding of software and infrastructure architecture, along with prior technical hands-on experience, is essential. Certifications such as Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are advantageous.
