Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pacemaker Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Pacemaker Technologist, you will be responsible for performing pacemaker analysis and programming, as well as assisting surgeons during implant procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pacemaker analysis and programming in clinics, operating rooms, or various areas of the hospital.
  • Assist surgeons during implant procedures and set individual pacemakers to correct values/optimal settings.
  • Perform a variety of tests, including Electro Cardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, holter and pacemaker programming/monitoring.
  • Monitor cardiac pacemakers and notify cardiologists of abnormalities.
  • Participate in the development and review of standards, procedures, and instructional material relevant to the department's pacemaker services.
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level plus successful completion of a recognized pacemaker specialty exam.
  • Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certified.
