We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Southfort Inn. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our facilities are well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Operational Policies: Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel, including staff management, guest services, and facilities maintenance.
  • Negotiate with Suppliers: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective provision of materials and services.
  • Front Desk Management: Supervise and train front desk staff to provide exceptional guest service, handle customer complaints, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make recommendations for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Maintenance and Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel facilities, including repairs, renovations, and capital projects.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide exceptional guest service and maintain our high standards.
  • Guest Services: Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty, including guest feedback and complaint resolution.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology systems.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and physical stamina to perform tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting.
  • Personal Suitability: Strong client focus, flexibility, and initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP degree in a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in hotel operations or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting
