Job Title: Aquafitness Instructor

Join the City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department as an Aquafitness Instructor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality aquafitness programming to participants in a safe and enjoyable manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach aquafitness programming to participants in a safe and enjoyable manner
  • Follow guidelines of the certifying agency and corporate and departmental policies, procedures, guidelines and standards
  • Ensure participants have a positive experience and follow all safety protocols
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 11 and current Certifications from a recognized certifying organization (or equivalent as deemed acceptable by management)
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Aquafitness Instructor certificate (CALA, YM-YWCA, WaterART or other recognized certification)
  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
  • AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
