Job Summary:

The City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is seeking a qualified Aquafitness Instructor to teach specialized aquafitness programming to participants in a safe and enjoyable manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach aquafitness classes to participants of various ages and abilities
  • Follow guidelines of certifying agencies and corporate policies
  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 11 and current
  • Certifications from a recognized certifying organization (e.g. CALA, YM-YWCA, WaterART)
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience or equivalent apprenticeship

Language Requirement:

Various language requirements, locations may require English only, French only OR Bilingual competencies.

Police Record Check:

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check with the Police Services detachment in their jurisdiction to the City of Ottawa's satisfaction.
