Senior Processing Analyst

Join The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited as a Senior Processing Analyst and take on a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing corporate action and entitlement events, ensuring timely and accurate payment to participant accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and manage corporate action and entitlement events, including mandatory reorganizations and entitlements.
- Coordinate with participants, depositaries, and paying agents to ensure timely submission and payment of securities.
- Review and verify event information, including bulletin, event, submission, and pay dates.
- Submit letters of transmittal and securities to transfer agents in a timely manner.
- Follow up with transfer agents, depositaries, and paying agents to confirm and verify details of payment.
- Verify and balance payment prior to requesting release of payment to participants.
- Adhere to strict deadlines for turnaround of related information.
- Interact with issuers, transfer agents, and other stakeholders to confirm and clarify legal and processing requirements.
- Research and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Strict adherence to TMX procedures, audit requirements, and internal control verification process.
- Post-secondary education in commerce or business administration.
- 3+ years of progressive operational/business experience in the securities industry.
- Experience in reorganizations/corporate action and entitlement processing functions.
- Good understanding of security entitlement and settlement procedures.
- Canadian Securities Course is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to plan and prioritize to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and accounting skills to accurately calculate and determine complex security features.
- Able to work collectively within a team environment to maintain customer focus and achieve desired business results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to gather information through questioning, review of documentation, and observation of situations.
- Must be able to select the most appropriate course of action and take the initiative to achieve objectives and/or resolve problems promptly.
