Job Title: Director of Environmental Services

Spring Living is a leading provider of senior living communities in Canada, with a commitment to creating warm, welcoming, and secure environments for residents. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Environmental Services to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Director of Environmental Services will be responsible for ensuring the physical condition of our retirement communities is maintained to the highest standards, reflecting the Spring Living brand and values. This role will focus on achieving these goals within the allocated budget, while ensuring the safety of residents, employees, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect all work areas and essential equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained, clean, and sanitary.
  • Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for required equipment.
  • Promote a culture of environmental sustainability and maintain the facilities and grounds in a "showcase" condition at all times.
  • Select, train, develop, engage, and manage the performance of all Environmental and Housekeeping staff.
  • Manage department budget and support the community capital budget process.
  • Contribute to the residence leadership team to maximize resident satisfaction.
  • Manage external vendor contracts with respect to service and cost.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building automation systems, fire safety equipment, and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
