The Campus Dining Hall and Catering Manager is a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for students at St. Thomas University. This position oversees the development and implementation of dining solutions, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of 20+ FOH and BOH staff during meal service, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a high-quality finished product to customers.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, addressing complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct monthly food inventory and assist with staff scheduling to manage labor costs.
- Oversee in-house catering services, from receiving orders to execution, ensuring exceptional service and quality.
- Schedule catered events, ensuring proper venue setup and staff delegation.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers and employees, conducting daily safety huddles.
- A minimum of 2+ years in restaurant or hotel food & beverage management.
- Post-secondary culinary or hospitality diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
- Good leadership skills, ability to train and manage unionized staff, and resolve problems.
- Ability to maintain effective customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
