Application Details:
- Applicants must submit an online resume that clearly outlines their qualifications.

Compensation, Hours, and Benefits:
- The hourly wage is $18.82, in addition to vacation pay.
- Positions require availability five days a week, with staff expected to be present 30 minutes before the end of the regular school day. Start times for Before School shifts typically begin at 7:30 AM, while After School shifts generally commence around 2 PM.
- There is potential for additional hours.
- Children of employees may attend the EXCEL program at no cost.
- Various paid training opportunities are available, including High Five, First Aid/CPR, and Fundamental Movement Skills.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience working with elementary-aged children is required.
- Knowledge of recreational programming is essential.
- Strong communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is required.
- A High School Completion Certificate or equivalent is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR Certification is advantageous.
Employment with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education is contingent upon a satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and a completed Child Abuse Registry Search prior to starting work.
