Job Title: Clinical Informatics Manager

Villa Marconi Long Term Care Centre is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the information technology and compliance related to resident care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of informatics systems and processes to ensure data integrity and efficient data collection.
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for staff on RAI-MDS 2.0, RAPS, subscale outcome measures, quality indicators, and reports.
  • Coordinate the certification process for AIS and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop processes that ensure data quality and utilization.
  • Establish and maintain data quality processes to evaluate MDS coding accuracy and timely completion.
  • Participate in the development of the annual Quality Improvement Plan and progress report.
  • Lead the Nursing Restorative program and mentor and coach Nursing Restorative Therapists.
  • Interpret legislative requirements and monitor compliance to standards through continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Counsel staff in areas of non-compliance, inappropriate, and unprofessional behavior.
  • Assist with the completion of staff probationary and annual performance reviews.
Qualifications:
  • Registered health professional licensed under the Health Disciplines Act and registered with a regulatory authority in a Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with adult education strategies and facilitation.
  • Ability to identify training needs and provide coaching and mentoring.
  • Proficient computer skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work with and relate to interdisciplinary team members and other internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of RAI-MDS and AIS certification.
  • Skills and knowledge in trending and analyzing data.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a long-term care setting and minimum of two years' supervisory experience.
