About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at First Smiles Daycare. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our daycare and ensuring the well-being and development of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Education
    • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
    • Collaborate with early childhood educators to design and implement engaging programs that promote cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
  • Support Services
    • Assist with housekeeping and cooking duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Help maintain daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Childcare and Education
    • Lead activities that promote creativity, physical activity, and social interaction.
    • Engage children in storytelling, singing, and crafts.
    • Guide children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
    • Submit written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
