Lead Claims Specialist

Position Overview
:The Principal Claims Analyst will report directly to the Claims Director, providing essential support in managing contract claims across various packages for the OLS Project. This role entails proactive engagement with the project management team, other departments, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective administration of disputes and claims throughout the contractual process, assessing entitlements related to time and/or costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough reviews of contracts and prepare claims-related documentation, including correspondence, reports, and presentations. Collaborate with the senior project management team and clients to establish and align strategies, methodologies, and controls for the successful execution of project tasks. Participate in relevant delivery meetings, working closely with area teams and providing direct support to Segment Commercial Directors regarding the status and resolution of variations, claims, and other commercial matters. Lead team management, offering guidance and development to effectively address change events, claims, and disputes, coordinating with Legal as necessary. Oversee claims-related issues to resolution, defining strategic approaches and necessary actions. Foster a collaborative team environment, both providing and receiving constructive feedback. Identify potential risks and opportunities arising from ambiguities, omissions, and conflicts within contractual documents. Facilitate the development and delivery of ongoing project training focused on the identification, preparation, and resolution of claims. Maintain regular coordination with clients to ensure efficient, effective, and timely resolution of issues.Education and Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related field, along with 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of pertinent work experience. Previous experience in Public Private Partnership (P3) and/or Design Bid Build (DBB) projects is preferred. Demonstrated experience in managing delay claims, productivity claims, acceleration, and extensions of time. Familiarity with arbitration and dispute resolution processes. Experience with contract administration and management software (e.g., Primavera Unifier, CM14).Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
In-depth understanding of contract laws and commercial/contractual frameworks. Ability to be commercially astute, responsive, and act swiftly in dynamic situations. Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple claims efficiently.Benefits Overview
