About the Position:

We are currently in search of a Grid Technology Specialist to become part of our team. The Grid Technology Specialist will play a crucial role in assessing and improving technologies that facilitate the effective functioning of our distribution network. This position will require collaboration with key departments to implement various initiatives aimed at enhancing reliability and optimizing asset investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement solutions to improve Grid Technology systems and applications
  • Offer technical assistance to different departments and field personnel
  • Assess and oversee new Grid Technology initiatives
  • Review workflows to enhance departmental efficiency
  • Aid in establishing strategic direction for technology systems
  • Support the advancement of smart grid projects
  • Leverage data analytics to boost grid performance
  • Work alongside other teams to improve system functionality and security
  • Engage in budget planning and project oversight
  • Evaluate new technologies and equipment
  • Manage special projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in Ontario
  • Proficiency in office productivity software
  • Prior experience in electric utility engineering
  • Project Management or PMP Certification is advantageous
  • Familiarity with advanced grid applications
  • Knowledge of Fiber Optic and wireless communication technologies
  • Excellent communication skills

Compensation:
