Job Summary

Waypoint is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client and Vendor Interactions: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external clients, dealership partners, and internal brokers, covering various areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Banking.
  • Financial Transactions: Input vendor invoices, issue client refunds and vendor invoice payments, and perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements through an eliminate, simplify, standardize, and automate mindset.
  • Team Support: Cross-train and act as a backup on key Accounting tasks, and contribute to a positive team culture by supporting coworkers.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks assigned by your manager.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an Accounting-related role.
  • Team Player: Enjoy being part of a team with a mix of face-to-face and virtual interaction.
  • Time Management: Ability to meet firm deadlines, even under potential time pressure.
  • Relationship Building: Natural ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing work priorities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience having difficult conversations.
  • Problem-Solving: Take initiative to identify and address issues or opportunities, solve problems, and address conflict.
  • Technical Skills: Proven ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Excel with Pivot Tables and other formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF).
