Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Mount Washington Pacific, ULC. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our accounting team and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounting team and provide guidance on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided to support business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and implement changes as necessary.

Requirements:

  • CPA designation (or equivalent combination of foreign designations and/or advanced experience).
  • Strong technical accounting skills and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • High level of computer competence, especially in the Microsoft Office environment, with a focus on Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to deal with multiple demands and hard deadlines, through time management, appropriate prioritization and delegation.
  • Several years of experience in a management role, preferably in a similar industry.
