Director of Retail Design

At Arc'teryx Limited, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Retail Design to join our team. As a key member of our Retail Design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and engaging retail experiences that connect our brand with customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement global retail design strategies that align with our brand vision and values.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and deliver retail concepts for all D2C channels, including brand stores, Brand+, Alpha, concept stores, shop-in-shop, and more.
- Collaborate with the Brand team to maintain overall design and brand vision, ensuring consistency across all retail touchpoints.
- Present design concepts and strategies to the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Identify areas of opportunity in our retail designs and drive initiatives to improve design solutions.
- Manage project timelines, communicate with cross-functional partners, and ensure design deliverables meet industry quality standards.
- Partner with Visual Merchandising and Brand teams to finalize store layouts, assortment strategies, and capacity for each location.
- Design new innovative store concepts and solutions, and support the evolution of our Retail Design Playbook.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the Design Team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in global retail design, with a proven track record of delivering innovative design concepts and solutions on time and on budget.
- LEED certification and/or a keen interest in sustainable design practices.
- Strong design and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex design concepts to non-designers.
- Proficiency in CAD drafting using AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, and Smartsheet.
- Experience with current building codes and ADA requirements in the US, Canada, and EMEA.
We offer a competitive salary range of $146,000 - $182,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
