About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team at Harsah Construction Corp. as a Construction Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Measurement: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a sturdy and secure structure.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the construction project.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion and quality of work.
  • Quality Control: Survey building locations and levels to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other workers and provide guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including commercial and residential buildings.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires a physically demanding work environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced construction setting and adapt to changing project requirements.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in steel stud framing or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a standard 40-hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
