Job Title: Power Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Power Engineer to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of our facility's mechanical equipment, including stationary engines, compressors, generators, pumps, motors, steam boilers, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate and maintain facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment.
  3. Conduct testing and evaluation of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  4. Provide instruction and training to users on equipment operation and maintenance.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of equipment maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
  • Valid 4th class Manitoba Power Engineers Certificate.
  • Experience with gas and oil fired boilers, refrigeration, and related equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to disease, radiation, toxic materials, noise, and allergens. May involve extended hours and rotating shifts.
