Job Summary:
Agropur is seeking a certified 4th Class Power Engineer to join our Maintenance Department in Winnipeg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our ammonia refrigeration systems, high pressure steam boilers, and wastewater treatment system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems within code requirements
- Operate and maintain high pressure steam boilers
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment system
- Monitor and respond to plant alarms
- Perform specific preventative maintenance work and lubrication tasks
- Update maintenance logs and records
- Complete work orders as assigned by Chief Engineer
- Work with others to plan and coordinate the completion of work
- Perform building maintenance tasks throughout the facility as needed
- Provide a high level of customer service through a proactive approach to daily plant problems and issues
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, utilizing skills, observations, and participation
- Ensure all maintenance work is conducted within Safety, Food Safety, and Product Quality fundamental requirements
Requirements:
- 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate
- Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills are preferred
- Must be physically fit with a good attendance and personal safety record
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team member
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Good written and oral communication skills essential
