FNX-INNOV is seeking a Construction Project Supervisor to join our team

In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing the construction and civil engineering projects at our hydroelectric plant. Your expertise will ensure that all works adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in monitoring building, civil engineering, and roofing operations at a hydroelectric plant.
  • Contribute to the oversight of new construction projects at our Boucherville site.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of project requirements, including environmental, quality, and safety aspects. Collaborate with the team to develop comprehensive monitoring programs.
  • Meticulously review plans, specifications, and ensure their alignment with current industry standards.
  • Evaluate contractors' quality plans for effectiveness and adherence to project guidelines.
  • Oversee the implementation of the quality plan, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on all aspects of construction progress, including work updates, material tracking, manpower allocation, additional works, property and environmental impact assessments, technical defects, modifications, and adherence to quality system procedures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of non-conformity reports following work monitoring activities and ensure timely follow-up actions.
  • Proactively address any non-conformities or deficiencies to prevent delays in commissioning.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

  • A DEC in architecture or equivalent experience/education.
  • Proven experience in construction project monitoring and supervision.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (Class 5).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications.
  • Fluency in French (both written and spoken).
  • Hold a valid construction ASP card.
  • Participation in Hydro-Québec training is considered an asset.
