Surveillance Specialist in Architecture

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surveillance Specialist in Architecture to join our team at FNX-INNOV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the surveillance of building site construction, civil engineering, and roofing projects, as well as hydroelectric power plant projects.
  • Participate in the surveillance of new buildings at the Boucherville site.
  • Take ownership of project requirements and characteristics, such as environmental, quality, and safety standards, and contribute to the development of surveillance programs.
  • Verify the quality of plans, bids, and their compliance with current standards.
  • Comment on the quality plan of contractors.
  • Ensure that the quality plan is applied in terms of technical, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Participate in the preparation and processing of reports on all construction work, including project progress, supply chain management, labor, equipment, additional work, property and environmental damage, technical defects, and procedural issues.
  • Participate in the preparation of non-conformity reports following construction work surveillance and ensure follow-up.
  • Ensure that no non-conformities or deficiencies hinder commissioning.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

About You

  • Hold a DEC in architecture or equivalent experience/education.
  • Have experience in construction site surveillance.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and a vehicle (class 5).
  • Have good computer skills.
  • Have a good command of the French language (spoken and written).
  • Hold a valid ASP construction card.
  • Have participated in Hydro-Québec training (an asset).

Conditions

  • Approximate end date: December 2024, with the possibility of extension.
  • 4-day schedule of 10 hours or according to the contractor.
