The Retail Store Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the in-store sales and service experience while fostering a sales-driven culture within the retail environment to meet or surpass sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and profitability objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster a welcoming and effective sales and service atmosphere on the sales floor to achieve sales objectives and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Engage with in-store customers and cultivate a loyal client base to drive personal sales achievements.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of seasonal apparel, including fit, fabric, and intended use of the product line.
  • Contribute to and support the development of impactful product displays and visual merchandising strategies in the store to boost sales and create a seamless shopping experience.
  • Assist in organizing store events and customer relationship management (CRM) initiatives that subtly encourage repeat business in a focused and friendly manner.
  • Exhibit entrepreneurial spirit in all facets of retail, from visual merchandising to sales generation and event planning.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to part-time and seasonal sales associates.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possess experience in back-office operations management, visual merchandising, and recruitment/training processes.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capable of managing and mentoring a team effectively.
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Make independent decisions or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer service-oriented role.
