We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at ATS Automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and executing optimal sourcing solutions to drive growth and increase overall gross margin for our Cambridge Life Sciences division.
The Procurement Specialist will work closely with the Procurement Team Lead to source outsourced sub-assembly solutions, process purchasing documentation, and leverage the Global Supply Chain Team's expertise in category management and VAVE to lower costs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Source outsourced sub-assembly solutions
- Process purchasing documentation
- Leverage category management and VAVE expertise
- Develop outsourcing strategies and implement solutions
- Support engineering standardization initiatives
- Execute the RFQ process and make-buy analysis
- Maintain ongoing supplier relationships and performance monitoring
- Provide support and input throughout the design process
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in assembly operations
- Minimum 3 years' related experience in supply chain management
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office software, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Proven organizational and negotiation skills
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
