Role Overview

As an HVAC/R Technician at Nextech, you will play a critical role in driving our company's success. You will be responsible for providing top-notch technical service, quality, and value to our customers. Your expertise will be essential in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration units for commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional technical ability, quality, and value to customers
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R units for commercial customers
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems
  • Travel to job sites and work with dispatchers to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are communicated to customers
  • Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and electronics in good working order
  • Document services and parts provided to customers electronically through iPad applications
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems, and explain recommended solutions
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of HVAC/R Technician experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • EPA Certificate
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
  • Knowledge of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills for iPad and cell phone communication and documentation
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays if needed
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and federal drug screening
