Job Summary

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Quality Specialist to support the identification, design, planning, execution, and evaluation of program-related improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will apply quality improvement, change management, operations research, and project management tools to drive continuous improvement in areas such as efficiency, effectiveness, workflow, continuity of care, safety, and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate, educate, and coach individuals, improvement initiative teams, and program leadership on quality improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Apply methods and tools such as project charters, process mapping, data collection and analysis, simulation modeling, and report generation to support improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement projects, including designing and executing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting findings.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a related field, such as Industrial Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or Epidemiology.
  • Education or training in quality improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience working in hospital settings and healthcare service delivery issues across the continuum of care.
  • Proven skills in statistics, experimental design, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in office software, statistical software, and process design/improvement software.
