International Banking Financing Consultant

Role Summary
What is the opportunity?
As a Financing Consultant, you will serve as the credit authority within a dynamic commercial banking Client Relationship Team. Your direct engagement with clients will enhance their experience as you become a reliable strategic advisor, delivering exceptional business, financial, and credit insights while supporting portfolio management. Collaborating with Relationship Managers, you will facilitate credit discovery and provide guidance that leads to the development of discussion papers and the onboarding of new borrowing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize comprehensive client discovery and financial analysis capabilities to fulfill client expectations regarding credit requests and annual reviews.
- Deliver insightful business analysis and credit recommendations through presentations that effectively communicate the advantages and benefits to clients.
- Showcase RBC's ability to offer innovative financial solutions promptly, ensuring that credit offerings align with or surpass client needs.
- Commit to teamwork and collaboration by sharing best practices and assisting colleagues in addressing the needs of all clients.
- Exercise thorough due diligence in endorsing credit applications, working closely with Credit Adjudicators to support risk management processes and guidelines.
Qualifications for Success
Essential Requirements
- Experience in commercial lending with a solid understanding of financial, risk, and credit analysis/structuring to support outstanding client relationship management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Familiarity with emerging resources, communication tools, and technology (e.g., online data resources, virtual meetings, digital banking, and mobile applications).
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree, preferably in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Specialized industry knowledge from previous roles (e.g., real estate, healthcare, agriculture, etc.).
- Professional designations such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
