We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Banquet Supervisor to join our team at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service and seamless event execution.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients to plan and organize corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and events, ensuring a tailored experience that meets their needs and expectations.
- Coordinate event logistics, including setup and take down, decorations, audiovisual equipment, and seating arrangements, to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for guests.
- Train and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and event setup crew, to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional service and meet the highest standards of quality.
- Directly supervise staff during events, ensuring the highest quality service and exceptional guest satisfaction, and making adjustments as needed to maintain a seamless experience.
- Anticipate guests' needs and provide exceptional service to enhance their experience, ensuring that every detail is attended to and every guest feels valued and appreciated.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of events, ensuring that all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly.
- Minimum 3 years of food and beverage experience with demonstrated leadership skills, preferably in a banquet or event management role.
- Previous banquets experience is considered an asset, as is a strong understanding of hospitality industry standards and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, guests, and team members effectively, and the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and coordinate events simultaneously.
- Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues during events, and a deep understanding of customer service principles and practices.
- A valid ProServe certification is required, and experience working in a variety of restaurant settings is preferred.
- A business or hospitality degree is preferred, but not required.
