Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Banquet Supervisor to oversee the planning and execution of banquets, events, and conferences. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to plan and organize banquet events, including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including setup and take down, decorations, audiovisual equipment, and seating arrangements.
  • Train and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and event setup crew.
  • Directly supervise staff during events, ensuring the highest quality service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and provide exceptional service to enhance their experience.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of food and beverage experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Previous banquets experience considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, guests, and team members effectively.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and coordinate events simultaneously.
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues during events.
  • Deep understanding of hospitality industry standards and trends.
  • Valid ProServe certification.
  • Experience working in a variety of restaurant settings.
  • Completion of a business or hospitality degree is preferred.
