Customer Service Ambassador

Job Summary:
U-Haul is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless rental experience, and promoting U-Haul's products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services, providing solutions to their needs and concerns.
- Use smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring safe and secure transportation.
- Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, maintaining a high level of quality and cleanliness.
- Answer questions and educate customers regarding U-Haul products and services, promoting upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Install hitches and trailer wiring, ensuring safe and secure connections.
- Fulfill propane and drive a forklift, maintaining a high level of safety and efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University, staying up-to-date on products and services.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts, requiring special safety precautions. May be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion, including long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
