Located in the picturesque town of Cardston, Alberta, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.
Description:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services to patients, families, and communities. You will utilize your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide safe, quality patient-centered care, while promoting health and well-being. Your leadership skills will be essential in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- Completion of the CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (if not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years)
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Current certification for IV, defibrillation, and BGM
- Demonstrates ability to work in a highly acute, very busy multi-disciplinary setting
- Must demonstrate organization, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
- The successful applicant will assume unit leadership and charge responsibilities consistent with their level of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred ACLS, TNCC, and rural experience
