Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering excellent nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the delivery of timely and accessible admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Ensure timely and safe transfers and discharges.
- Manage medications and narcotics in accordance with protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including the Long Term Care Act and the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests, and a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
