About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Allan Park Motor Sales. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll and other financial transactions
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports to support business decision-making
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy
  • Develop and maintain effective financial systems and processes to ensure efficiency and productivity
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of financial software and systems, including MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic
