Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host to join our team at Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants. As a Host, you will be responsible for creating a positive guest experience from the moment they arrive at our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity and ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, and Managers to maintain a smooth and efficient service.
  • Escort guests to their tables, engage them in conversation, and ensure they have a memorable experience.
  • Accurately take reservations and update guest information in our system.
  • Develop a briefing sheet before each shift to inform colleagues of upcoming events and important information.
  • Stay up-to-date with local knowledge and be able to provide recommendations to guests.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas.
  • Be aware of table numbers and server assignments to provide exceptional service.
  • Prepare detailed special request forms for special occasions and ensure all colleagues are informed.
  • Conduct regular checks to maintain the cleanliness of the washrooms and adhere to food safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer-facing roles, with restaurant experience an asset.
