Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Meltwich Food Co. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities- Food and Supply Management
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that all food and supplies are stored and handled in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Staff Supervision and Training
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Quality Control and Customer Service
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to ensure that we meet our quality control standards.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and addressing any issues promptly.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Establish work schedules to ensure that our kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees
- Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees by facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Support for Youth
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Support for Indigenous People
- Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities
- Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
