Job Summary

We are looking for a Power System Engineer with a strong background in transmission studies, power flow, voltage stability, and transient stability analysis. The successful candidate will have experience with PSS/E and TARA tools and be able to develop and maintain complex power system models.

Responsibilities
  • Perform transmission feasibility studies for 138 kV and above transmission systems using PSS/E and PSCAD.
  • Develop and maintain steady-state, short-circuit, and dynamic models.
  • Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports and offering technical consultations.
  • Conduct and review system impact studies, analyzing steady-state load flow and transient stability performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in power systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of electric power systems, synchronous generators, motors, power electronic inverters, wind turbines, and solar.
  • Experience with transmission studies on power flow, voltage stability, and other power system analyses.
  • Experience with PSS/E, TARA, or DSA tools.
  • Background in static and dynamic modeling of power systems components in PSS/E or DSA tools.
  • PSS/E model development and IPLAN and/or Python programming is an asset.
  • Knowledge of reliability and interconnection of the transmission system.
  • Basic knowledge of substation layout and protection and control.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
