About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Consultant to join our team at Cowan Insurance Group. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solicit and counsel potential new clients, leveraging our external carrier partners to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Manage the sales and implementation process, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee benefits programs, from inception to renewal, mid-term adjustments, and claims.
  • Develop and implement sales and training plans, working closely with our National Benefits Leadership Team.
  • Balance new business acquisition with relationship-building and retention strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employee benefits.
  • LLQP license or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong social skills, confidence, and customer-centric approach.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling skills and exceptional organization abilities.
  • Highly developed sales and customer service skills, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office products and social media.
  • GBA, CEBS (or working towards designation) would be an asset.
