About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Kismet Glass Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation of glass products in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a seamless fit
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, taking into account material costs and labor requirements
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper alignment and functionality
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices and techniques
  • Prepare shop drawings and specifications for clients, highlighting key features and benefits
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and equipment
  • Supervise other workers, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
  • Transport cases of glass, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
  • Estimate costs and materials, taking into account client budgets and project requirements
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems, generating accurate drawings and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, identifying key features and requirements
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in glass installation and fabrication
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's licence, with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
