Job Title: Glass Installation Specialist

Kismet Glass Ltd is seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing glass products, including windows, doors, and other glass features, in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install glass products, including windows, doors, and other glass features, in commercial and residential settings.
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure accurate installation.
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring proper alignment and sealing.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, estimating costs and materials required.
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products, following manufacturer instructions.
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on installation techniques and best practices.
  • Prepare shop drawings and specifications for clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and techniques.
  • Supervise other workers, ensuring efficient and safe installation processes.
  • Transport cases of glass, ensuring safe handling and storage.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for installation projects, using industry-standard software and tools.
Requirements:
  • Glazier Red Seal Certificate or equivalent.
  • Glazier Trade Certification or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Physically demanding work environment, requiring standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
