About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Dialogue Health Technologies Inc. as a key member of our Regulatory Affairs and Commercial Law department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal opinions and strategic advice to various teams regarding applicable health and privacy laws and regulations.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of Canadian health and privacy laws and develop legal processes and documentation to enhance privacy and health regulatory compliance.
  • Support the communications with medical regulatory bodies, provincial and federal governments, and relevant interest groups concerning health law matters.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects, such as impact assessments related to new legislation, new service offerings, new products, or entering new markets around both health and privacy matters.
  • Advise on a wide range of commercial agreements involving complex, multi-stakeholder legal issues.
  • Conduct legal risk assessments relating to proposed business and operational decisions and work with business leaders to mitigate risks to stakeholders around both health and privacy matters.
  • Provide timely and practical legal advice regarding the company's day-to-day operations.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in the healthcare or privacy sectors, and familiarity with regulated environments acquired within a company or in private practice.
  • Strong legal acumen, fostering collaboration, and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in writing, negotiating, and managing multiple priorities and files simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator, adept at fostering relationships with multidisciplinary teams internally and externally, including legal professionals, in corporate settings.
  • Capable of autonomously developing programs, policies, processes, and other documentation.
  • Bilingual in French and English, crucial for communication and collaboration with stakeholders across Quebec, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
