Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and service a wide range of construction equipment, including earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and make required repairs.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders.
  • Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Complete set of tools or willingness to build a comprehensive toolset.
  • Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
