Position Overview:

Colas Western Canada Inc. is in search of a proficient Heavy Equipment Technician to enhance our workforce. The successful applicant will bring 3-5 years of relevant experience and demonstrate extensive technical expertise in servicing a diverse range of heavy machinery and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safe and effective repairs and maintenance on equipment
  • Participate in routine maintenance inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of all repair and maintenance activities
  • Recognize and report any equipment issues
  • Assist mobile teams and support operational needs

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Familiarity with electrical diagnostics and hydraulic systems
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks

Essential Requirements:

  • Commitment to safety regulations and protocols
  • Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment
  • Adherence to the company's substance abuse policy
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with heavy trailer endorsement
